According to the legislation of Ukraine, every citizen of Ukraine who has reached the age of 14 is obliged to obtain a passport of a citizen of Ukraine. The passport of a citizen of Ukraine (in the form of an ID-card) is a document certifying the identity and confirming the citizenship of Ukraine. For persons aged 14 to 18 years, a passport of a citizen of Ukraine in the form of a card is issued with a validity period of 4 years, and for persons who have reached the age of 18 - for every 10 years.

If you are 18 years old and have an ID card, do not rush to register for a passport exchange. First, check the validity of your passport, which is above your digitized signature.

It should be noted that documents for the exchange of an ID-card can be submitted within one month before the expiration date, but not earlier. In this case, the passport to be exchanged, after receiving the documents, is returned to the person and handed over by him upon receipt of a new passport.
