21 people were killed and 38 injured as a result of a night rocket attack on Odesa region — Denis Monastyrsky
This was stated on Friday, July 1, by the Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Denis Monastyrsky during a live broadcast on the television marathon “United News”.
“One rocket hit a nine-story building around 1 a.m., people were sleeping. It was a panel building, the floor from the first to the 4th floor collapsed. 21 people were killed and 38 wounded, including five children,” the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs said.
He stressed that there should be criminal responsibility for those military who deliberately hit civilian objects. Now the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine is taking steps to determine and legally prove guilt.
The Minister also recalled the missile strike on the shopping center in Kremenchuk: “We know where the plane took off from. It was the Kaluga region in Russia, where the Tu-22 took off along with the deadly X-22 missile — almost a ton of explosives. We understand who exactly was in this shift at the airfield. We specify more data on who exactly was on this plane. Our intelligence and partners will continue to work to establish the data of those involved.”
According to him, the forensic laboratory is currently collecting DNA samples and comparing them with DNA samples from relatives of the missing. A ballistic examination is carried out, which determines from which type of weapon and from what angle the shot was made. It is this evidence that will form the basis of criminal proceedings in Ukraine and abroad.
