Ensured victory in the tender and seized state funds: law enforcement officers reported suspicion to the official
The scheme for seizing budget funds was exposed by the capital's law enforcement officers. The Director of the Procurement Department of Kyivteploenergo Municipal Enterprise secured the victory in the tender to the controlled company for the purchase of deep pumps. The contract for the purchase of equipment was concluded between the company and the LLC. 62 deep pumps for a total amount of more than three million hryvnias purchased for the enterprise.
The funds were transferred to the accounts of the contractor. However, the price of the equipment significantly exceeded the market price. The amount of damage caused was about 700 thousand hryvnias. Their participants in the scheme distributed among themselves.
The official of “Kyivteploenergo” was informed of the suspicion of committing the crime provided for in Part 5 of Art. 191 - appropriation, embezzlement of property or possession of it by abuse of official position of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The sanction of the article provides for imprisonment for a term of seven to twelve years with deprivation of the right to hold certain positions or engage in certain activities for a term of up to three years and with confiscation of property.
In addition, the investigators reported the suspicion of an accomplice of the criminal scheme - to the head of the commercial structure under Part 5 of Art. 27, Part 5 of Art. 191 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
