For the theft of humanitarian aid worth more than 1 million 350 thousand hryvnias, the police of the Dnipropetrovsk region detained the participants of the criminal group
Two residents of the city. Dnipro has been detained while trying to sell humanitarian aid intended for the military and victims of Russian aggression.
The activities of the criminal group were stopped by the police of the investigative department of the GUNP in the Dnipropetrovsk region, the department of strategic investigations and the employees of the prosecutor's office of the Dnipropetrovsk region.
On June 16, with the strong support of KORD special officers, searches took place, during which the place of residence of the defendants, trucks and cars, as well as in a warehouse in the city of Moscow, took place. Kamianske, canned goods and food products with a total weight of more than 13 tons were found, intended for humanitarian assistance.
On this fact, criminal proceedings were opened under Part 3 of Art. 201-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (illegal use for the purpose of obtaining profit of humanitarian aid, charitable donations or gratuitous assistance). Within the framework of open criminal proceedings, additional searches are appointed, evidence is collected and all persons involved in the crime are identified. At the moment, one of the attackers has been detained under the order of Art. 208 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine.
