For the sale of certificates of unsuitability for military service, the head of the medical institution will appear before the court
The attacker was detained while receiving $3,000 in ill-gotten gains, and nearly $90,000 more was seized in the course of the search. The defendant was informed of the suspicion under two articles of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, and the indictment was sent to the court for consideration on the merits.
The police detained the defendant while receiving illegal benefits in the amount of US $3,000. In addition, during searches of the man's office and at the man's residence address, investigators seized nearly $90,000, certificates of unfitness for military service of others, ammunition and “draft” records.
According to the results of the pre-trial investigation, the investigators informed the attacker about the suspicion under Part 3 of Art. 368 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine — acceptance of an offer, promise or receipt of an illegal benefit by an official and part 1 of Art. 263 Criminal Code of Ukraine — illegal handling of weapons, ammunition or explosives.
Currently, the pre-trial investigation in the criminal proceedings has been completed, and the indictment has been sent to the court for consideration on the merits. In accordance with the sanctions of the accused articles, a suspect faces up to ten years with deprivation of the right to hold certain positions or engage in certain activities for a period of up to three years, with confiscation of property.
