Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Leonid Tymchenko told about this on the air of the national tele-marathon “United News”. “By calling one phone number, you can call several emergency services at once.
In addition, 112 service centers have additional functionality - persons with disabilities have the opportunity to make a video call and communicate with the operator using sign language,” the Deputy Minister noted. Recall that the first communication center of Service 112 began its operation on July 4, 2023 in Kyiv.
By September 5, 2023, the number 112 covered the Kyiv region, and from December 1, 2023, the number 112 worked throughout the Central Macroregion.
Also on December 1, 2023, the 112 Service communication center was opened in Lviv, which currently accepts calls from Lviv residents and residents of Lviv region. Until May 1, C.E. The Ministry of Internal Affairs plans to complete the connection to the center in Lviv of the rest of the western regions of our country.
In addition, on May 1, the third 112 center in Dnipro is being prepared for opening. In line is the city of Odessa, where Service 112 will work on September 1, 2024. By the end of 2024, the Ministry of Internal Affairs undertakes to introduce the work of Service 112 throughout the country.
