“Behind the scenes of the Ministry of Internal Affairs”: how the special unit “CORD” works
“KORD” is one of the most powerful units of the National Police of Ukraine, which performs tasks of increased complexity. Behind the four letters is the true strength, steely character and unwavering determination of each of the unit's fighters.
Special agents do not show faces, but show powerful results in classified operations. Their professional skills are polished to the ideal. Fighters overcome difficult tests of body and spirit.
Thus, during the past year, KORD fighters conducted 25 special police operations, took part in almost 1700 events. Thanks to their work, more than 171,000 pieces of ammunition, almost 500 weapons units and 330 kg of explosives were seized.
From the first days of a full-scale invasion, the special forces are involved in hostilities. The fighters implemented many crucial operations that have already gone down in the history of this war. They performed combat missions in Kharkiv, Donetsk region, Kyiv region, Kherson region, Zaporizhzhia.
Recently, fighters detained armed assailants on police officers and prevented criminals with weapons from fleeing abroad.
