Violator faces up to five years of restriction of liberty for fireworks in the capital Borshchagovka

Despite the martial law, ignoring all prohibitions, the violator set off fireworks in the courtyard of the high-rise building. Investigators informed him of the suspicion.

Law enforcement received information that an unknown person launched a salute in the Svyatoshinsky district of the capital. Videos with fireworks were published on many Telegram channels. Police officers registered the appeal and immediately began a search for those involved.

During the processing of information, the police found out that the fireworks were set off in the courtyard of the house on Alexander Makhov Street. From the scene, law enforcement officers seized used pyrotechnics for 36 shots.

The district police officers, together with the operatives, conducted an apartment bypass, interviewed about a hundred citizens and watched video from surveillance cameras. According to the results of the training, the police identified the probable offender and, with the help of special officers of the police regiment No. 1, detained him.

He was previously convicted of illegal possession of drugs, a 28-year-old native of the Kiev region. He was detained under the order of Art. 208 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine.

As the violator explained to the police, he came to a friend's birthday and in this way decided to congratulate him. During an urgent search of the apartment, investigators recovered the remains of packaging from fireworks, lighters and clothing in which the defendant was dressed during the commission of the offense.

On this fact, the investigators of the Svyatoshyn Police Department initiated criminal proceedings under Part 1 of Art. 296 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine — hooliganism and under the procedural guidance of the district prosecutor's office informed him of the suspicion. The defendant faces a restriction of liberty for up to five years.

The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine once again emphasizes: the use of pyrotechnics is prohibited! Each fact of such a violation will be documented, and the perpetrators will be brought to justice.
