The former head of the youth prevention sector of the Sumy district police department of the GUNP in the Sumy region, Valery Silin, made an important decision to join the Joint Assault Brigade “Fury” as soon as he heard about its creation.

“The desire to defend the state appeared from the first day of Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine, but at that moment I understood that my help was needed here in Sumy region,” says Valery.

In 2015, the policeman took part in the implementation of tasks as part of the Joint Forces Operation in the Luhansk region: Severodonetsk, Lysychansk, Gorsky, Svitlychny. After 19 years of service in the police, he could not leave his brothers in a difficult time. The combined assault brigade “Fury” will allow Valery to remain a police officer and fight off the armed aggression of the Russian Federation.

The joy for the law enforcement officer is his family. Valery likes to go out with his family to nature, spend time with children in the fresh air. The policeman himself has twins of three years, who may not yet understand the importance of dad's work, but are always waiting for him to return home.

“I want to look at my children and myself in peace, and therefore I will do my best to ensure that we live in a free and independent state. Side by side with law enforcement colleagues from all over the country, we will give fire to the occupiers, because we are on our land, at home,” the policeman shares.

Recall that you can join the assault brigade of the National Police of Ukraine by filling out a questionnaire online at storm.mvs.gov.ua or in certain Administrative Service Centers, the list of addresses of which is available on the website.
