“For 18 months of full-scale war, you saved thousands of lives, risking your own,” - Igor Klymenko during the awarding of rescuers of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine
On September 21, on the day of the savior, the Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Igor Klymenko presented awards to 84 rescuers and rescuers.
The ceremony began with a moment of commemoration of all the dead employees of the State Emergency Service as a result of Russian aggression.
“I have seen many times how hard you work at the sites of rocket attacks, house collapses, fires and how bravely save everyone while eliminating the consequences of the explosion of the Kakhovka hydroelectric power plant. You prevent trouble from happening in someone's family, in the community, in the whole country,” said Igor Klymenko.
Also, the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine noted that many employees of the State Emergency Service were injured or lost limbs, but all of them will be on duty in the system of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, including in the units of the State Emergency Service.
“We have no right to allow any of our employees to be outside the system. By the large numbers in the statistics of the rescued, we all see your work,” Igor Klymenko emphasized.
The Minister noted that the rescue units of the State Emergency Service are among the first to arrive daily to eliminate the consequences of enemy shelling, in particular today after the morning rocket attack on Ukraine. Also, sappers of the State Emergency Service mostly detected and defused explosive objects. This urgent work continues today so that as many territories of Ukraine as possible are fit for life as soon as possible.
