This was announced today at a briefing in Ukrinform by the spokeswoman of the Ministry of Internal Affairs Alyona Matveeva.

“After the start of the war, the organization of the health care system of the Ministry of Internal Affairs changed dramatically. Previously, we had few institutions where, for example, surgical and orthopedic care were provided. Due to the start of active hostilities, all institutions switched to round-the-clock mode and adjusted their capacity to work with the wounded,” said the spokeswoman of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine.

She said that the list of medical services in these institutions has expanded significantly. First of all, this concerns surgical care, as well as specialized types of medical rehabilitation. In general, this is associated with an increase in the number of injured and the complication of diagnoses.

Alyona Matveeva also reported that as of July 8, outpatient treatment was received in the territorial medical associations of the Ministry of Internal Affairs — 582 wounded, inpatient — 1,781, and military medical examination — 583.
Separately, it is noted that 468 injured people underwent rehabilitation in medical rehabilitation centers of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. 89 wounded were sent for treatment and rehabilitation abroad, including prosthetics, and the necessary documents were prepared for 232 more fighters.
