The State Border Guard Service of Ukraine continues to take measures to prevent the abuse of the “Way” system for illegal travel abroad of conscripted men.
During July, during border control, more than 700 Ukrainian citizens traveling as drivers of business entities were reasonably refused to leave Ukraine.
In general, since the beginning of this year, border guards have refused to pass about 7200 thousand people who tried to leave abroad through the “Way” system without sufficient grounds for this.
The State Border Guard Service noted that one percent of the persons who left the Shlyakh system since the beginning of 2023 did not return to Ukraine after the end of the specified 60-day period of stay abroad. In relation to business entities that “lose” drivers, appropriate sanctions are imposed.
Thus, last month, according to the information of the State Border Guard Service, Ukrtranska stopped access to the Shleakh 13 system to licensees. At the same time, operational units of the State Border Guard Service, in cooperation with other law enforcement agencies, expose criminal schemes for organizing the illegal departure of military servicemen under the guise of carriers or volunteers.
Note that such activity is criminal. For the illegal transfer of persons across the state border of Ukraine, Article 332 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine provides for imprisonment for a period of three to five years, and under certain circumstances up to nine years with confiscation of property.
Recall that recently, the operatives of the Chernihiv Border Detachment stopped the activities of a criminal group, which, using the “Shlyakh” system, organized the illegal transfer of “evaders” from mobilization across the state border.
Law enforcers established that residents of Chernihiv, under the cover of the activities of a network of enterprises that provided services for international transportation, found “clients” among men of conscription age, who were brought to the “Shlyakh” system as drivers of buses of foreign routes.
The cost of such an “escape” abroad amounted to 3 thousand US dollars.
During the authorized searches at 15 facilities within the capital of Ukraine and the Chernihiv region, foreign currency, bank cards, internal documentation of enterprises, office equipment, mobile phones and SIM cards, draft “accounting” were seized Theria.”
For the organization and illegal transportation of persons across the state border of Ukraine, two Chernihiv residents were declared under Part 2 of Art. 332 of the Criminal Code.
“Businessmen” face imprisonment for a term of seven to nine years.
