366 children evacuated from settlements in Kherson region shelled by Russian army
Russian army intensified shelling of de-occupied settlements in Kherson region, especially Belozersk and Daryiv communities, coastal villages of Beryslav district and suburbs of Kherson.
The enemy destroys peaceful cities and villages with aviation, rocket systems of volley fire and other types of weapons. In recent weeks, the Russian army has dropped guided air bombs on villages, there is a lot of destruction, people are dying in their own homes. Due to the difficult situation, children are unable to learn, cannot go outside, are forced to live constantly in basements and are under stress.
The police, together with volunteers and representatives of the Kherson regional military administration, carry out evacuation measures from dangerous areas. To do this, they bypass every house in enemy-shelled settlements, talk to parents and convince families to leave as soon as possible.
- As of the end of April, special evacuation teams have taken 366 children out of danger zones. As soon as the shelling stopped, families with children were taken away in armored cars, and special orange vests and helmets were put on the little ones. We acted quickly and smoothly, because every minute of temporary calm was expensive, - says Vitaliy Saifutdinov, a member of the evacuation group, head of the department of juvenile prevention of the police of the Kherson region.
The largest number of evacuees from the Kherson region was 137 children, 131 children were taken from Beryslav district, 69 from the outskirts of Kherson, who are hit by enemy shelling every hour from the left bank of the Dnieper, 29 children - from two villages of Kakhovsky district.
In the settlements shelled by the Russian army, there are still many families with children. Work continues with them, adults are persuaded to evacuate to safe places and not to put their children in danger.
