On the initiative of the DMS, the Cabinet of Ministers introduced amendments on the additional protection of citizens from the temporarily occupied territories and combat zones
The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine adopted a resolution developed by the State Migration Service, which regulates the procedure for entering information on the registered place of residence of citizens from the temporarily occupied territories (TOT) of Ukraine, as well as territories in which hostilities are conducted or conducted to the relevant registers:
- to the Unified State Demographic Register (Unified State Demographic Register) — to persons during registration and exchange of a passport of a citizen of Ukraine,
- passport, permanent or temporary residence permit for both adults and children;
- to the departmental information system of the DMS — when the child is issued a passport of a citizen of Ukraine, a foreign passport;
- to the register of the territorial community — when declaring or registering the place of residence of both adults and children.
Please note that for children, the address of the registered place of residence will be considered the address of the registered place of residence of its legal representatives or one of them with whom the child lives.
These changes will help protect the rights of Ukrainian citizens, including children, and simplify their access to social, administrative and other state-guaranteed services.
Information on the address of the declared/registered place of residence will be provided free of charge.
It is worth recalling that citizens of Ukraine can issue, exchange documents identifying and confirming the citizenship of Ukraine, paste a photo upon reaching the appropriate age in the passport of a citizen of Ukraine, by contacting any DMS or CNAP unit in the controlled territory.
