Another family with two children was evacuated from the deoccupied Pyatikhatok
It should be noted that the village of Pyatikhatky is located in Zaporizhzhya region and was recently liberated by Ukrainian defenders from Russian invaders.
Six family members spent more than a year in occupation. And the decision to evacuate was made when fierce fighting began for the liberation of the village. They say that they sincerely rejoiced at the Ukrainian defenders, as relatives, however, they could not risk the lives of children.
The convincing “argument” was the Russian shells that hit their yard and the neighboring house. They quickly collected a minimum of necessary things, did not leave a pet dog and two hamsters to waste — they took them with them.
The family has overcome a difficult path. They went to Stepovo, from there Ukrainian defenders took them to Stepnogorsk and handed them over to local police.
People with horror tell of how they lived next to the occupiers - mainly Ossetians and “Vagnerites” were stationed in the village, who drank and looted, shot houses with grenade launchers.
The local population has been left without electricity almost since the beginning of the occupation. Those who had generators were not able to use them — they were buried so as not to be picked off by the invaders. When they left the village under the onslaught of the Ukrainian military, they grabbed everything — from household property to electrical wires on poles.
Now the police are working with the family - they accompany them to the temporary place of residence, provide first necessities, help to recover lost documents. Juvenile inspectors work with children.
