From Avdiyivka “White Angels” evacuate people who survived after an air strike on a high-rise building
There were 9 people in the house who lived among the ruins, next to neighbors buried under the rubble. Among the evacuees was a man with a disability. On the door in his apartment, he kept a chronicle of all the events from the beginning of the full-scale invasion of the Russian Federation called “Days and Nights of War”. The last entry is dated May 23: “A house was smashed. There are two people under the rubble.”
The residential sector is located 400 meters from the front line and almost destroyed by Russian troops. Civilians continued to live in the destroyed buildings.
During the last hit, two missiles in the nine-story building collapsed the entrance and others suffered significant damage. Two people were killed — an elderly woman and her 93-year-old relative. The bodies still remain under the rubble, because of the shelling it is now impossible to get them. Three more residents were injured, part of the body of one of the injured neighbors was buried in the yard. In a neighboring five-story building under the ruins for about a month there is the body of another dead woman.
Police officers of the “White Angel” unit repeatedly urged the local population to evacuate, but only now all residents have volunteered to leave. The crew rescues them in an emergency.
