How to protect your money from fraudsters on the Internet: a joint project of the Cyberpolice, the State Special Communications Agency and the NBU

During the war, attackers constantly speculate on the topic of financial assistance to Ukrainians affected by the actions of the Russian Federation. Pseudo-volunteering schemes and phishing mailings for obtaining citizens' bank card data have also gained popularity.

Since the beginning of the imposition of martial law, the cyber police have exposed almost 500 people involved in online fraud. Together with our partners, the State Special Communications Agency and the National Bank of Ukraine, we have developed instructions that will help to recognize criminal schemes, as well as provide or receive assistance on the Internet safely.

We talk about the important:
- how to recognize a fraudulent scheme; - how to safely help and get help on the Internet;
- recommendations on the protection of mobile banking.

Be sure to report criminal schemes and cyber attacks to the Cyberpolice and the CERT-UA Government Computer Emergency Response Team. This is important to do so that specialists prevent attempts of fraud and cyberattacks on the Internet, as well as bring perpetrators to justice.
