Kharkiv police conducted another evacuation from dangerous areas of Kupyansk community (VIDEO)
Despite constant shelling, special forces are trying to remove as many people as possible from dangerous areas. Particular attention is paid to children, the elderly and low-mobility citizens.
The police regiment of the special purpose police of the GUNP in the Kharkiv region Anton Sinelnik says that the situation in the area is very dangerous, settlements are constantly under enemy shelling.
“Almost every day there are wounded and killed among the civilian population. The enemy is constantly shelling residential buildings, - says the policeman. - Parents who leave children here, put them in danger. Evacuation is now vital.”
In turn, police officers, together with volunteers, constantly carry out preventive work among the population, especially with families with children. They are persuaded to go to safer places. People react differently to police requests to evacuate. Someone agrees, and someone categorically refuses to leave home.
Local resident Irina, together with her young daughter Yulia, decided to evacuate and gathered things. The family's house was damaged by enemy fire.
“When the rocket hit the house next door where my sister lived, we were in Kharkiv. Half the roof in our house has been demolished,” the woman says and urges other people with children to leave the dangerous area.
According to the police special unit “KORD” GUNP in the Kharkiv region Gleb Voytov, mandatory evacuation of families with children in a forced manner on the territory of Kupyansk district is carried out from November 03.
“It is very difficult to persuade women with children to make an evacuation decision, many people refuse, do not want to leave their homes,” says Gleb Voytov. “However, the police are trying to persuade citizens to leave dangerous settlements in order to protect the life and health of themselves and their children.”
On November 8, police officers of juvenile prevention, special purpose police regiment, KORDU, Kupyansk district police department together with volunteers and local authorities removed 16 more children from the territorial community.
In total, since the beginning of the forced evacuation from the territory of the Kupyansk region, the police have already removed 65 children, about 90 more children are to be evacuated.
