The Russian invaders, who came to Ukraine with the invasion war, broke many human lives. Among them, Mr. Alexander is a resident of Bakhmut.

Every day, the invaders continue to level the previously flourishing city of Bakhmut to the ground. At the age of 48, Alexander lost everything: Russian terrorists bombed his house. He miraculously survived, but unfortunately lost both legs.

In December 2022, volunteers evacuated Alexander to Transcarpathia. Here, in the hospital of the mountain village of Volovets, the wounded man found his shelter. After a long treatment, Alexander began the procedure of restoring his documents, because they were all burned in the house during that December shelling.

Within the framework of barrier-free access, the employees of the Volovets Department of the State Health Service of Ukraine in the Transcarpathian region, in compliance with all the requirements stipulated by law, carried out the procedure for establishing a person. And the other day Alexander received a new ID card.

Now, with a passport in his hands, a man will be able to apply for disability and start receiving cash benefits from the state.

Now Alexander is taken care of by volunteers, they are looking for not just a new home for their husband, but a place where they can take care of Alexander given his limited physical abilities.
