Lost passport abroad: what to do
In the event that you lost your passport abroad, you should not panic. After all, the procedure for contacting the authorized bodies due to the theft of a passport is the same in most countries.
Both in Ukraine and abroad, you must immediately contact the nearest police station. There make a statement about the loss of the passport document.
After receiving the application, law enforcement officers must issue a copy of the protocol or a certificate of temporary absence of a passport.
Already with this certificate, it is necessary to contact the nearest diplomatic or consular institution of Ukraine to issue a new passport.
After returning home, you need to contact the Migration Service to report the loss of the document and issue a new one.
