Today, April 6, at the Ukraine-Ukrinform Media Center, Deputy Head of the National Police of Ukraine Oleksandr Fatsevich presented the mobile application “Reunite Ukraine”.

During the presentation, the Deputy Head of the National Police of Ukraine said that the mobile application is a component of the mechanism of a comprehensive system for searching for missing children, taking into account the needs of our country in the conditions of war:

“It is a universal tool for finding children with whom contact has been lost, as well as reuniting family members who have been internally displaced, forced to leave Ukraine or illegally deported to the Russian Federation, Belarus or the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine.”

The mobile application was developed in collaboration with the American private company “Find My Parent”, whose main goal is to empower people around the world to find and reconnect with their families using artificial intelligence technologies.

At the same time, Daniel Doura, the chief executive officer and co-founder of Find My Parent, said:

“With technology, we can enable children to reunite with their families quickly and efficiently. We have developed a collective application, that is, an application that can be used by many people for such a need as the return of children to Ukraine. After all, children are a vulnerable category of the population who can suffer more from human trafficking and even sexual exploitation.”

Oleksandr Fatsevich added that in addition to family members, indifferent people can register in the application and transmit information known to them about Ukrainian children who are in the Russian Federation or in the occupied territory and attend schools, kindergartens, etc.

“If we find at least one child, reunite at least one family — that's a small victory. Therefore, we will use this application as another tool to search for children who were separated from their relatives by the war,” said the Deputy Head of the National Police of Ukraine.

How it works:

1. Download the free app “Reunite Ukraine” in the App Store or Google Play.

2. Create a profile by adding information and photos about yourself and your family, including the person being wanted. The more information is downloaded, the more efficient the search is.

3. Reunite Ukraine's artificial intelligence technology will compare your data with that of your family members when they also create profiles.

4. In the event of a coincidence of information between the two profiles, police officers carry out their checks.

5. Persons whose data are the same in the application and verified by the police receive notifications and consent to the exchange of messages.

6. Now you can quickly reunite with your loved ones wherever you are.
