Hostile shelling of Slavyansk: rescuers liquidate the consequences and search for people under the rubble (Updated)
Today, around 16:00 there was an enemy shelling of the city of Slavyansk, Kramatorsk district.
According to the operational information as of 18:35:
- at the first address - there was a burning of an apartment on the ground floor on an area of 40 sq. m. The fire was eliminated. As a result of the shelling, 2 people were killed and 2 people were wounded.
- at the second address - there was a burning of apartments from the 2nd to the 4th floor of a 5-storey apartment building on an area of 50 sq. m. The fire was eliminated.
- at the third address - there was a partial destruction of a 5-storey apartment building. Rescuers at the scene rescued 3 people, previously under the rubble there are 5 people (of them 1 child).
In total, as of 18:35, 5 apartment buildings, 5 private houses, shop premises, premises of a business center, 3 cars were damaged.
The mobile task force of the Main Directorate of the State Emergency Service in Donetsk region was involved at the site. 19 personnel and 4 units of equipment were recruited from the State Emergency Service, 3 units of equipment and 3 personnel were recruited from the municipal services.
As of 19:00 the death toll in Slavyansk had risen to 6. In the ambulance car, a child who was taken from under the rubble died.
It is known that 18 people were injured. Among them is also a child.
The number of victims is constantly increasing. Police continue to tour homes and identify those in need of help.
The rescue operation continues.
