Enemy saboteur and stolen car: the situation on the border in 24 hours
Ukrainian border guards continue to effectively counter illegal migration, smuggling of weapons, drugs, illegal movement of goods across the border and, of course, enemy sabotage groups.
Thus, as a result of coordinated joint actions, the operatives of the Zhytomyr border detachment and employees of the Department of the Security Service of Ukraine in the Rivne region detained a “vagnerite” who was “thrown” into Ukraine for sabotage. A special operation was carried out under the procedural leadership of the Rivne Regional Prosecutor's Office.
The task of “Vagnerevets” included the illegal arrival from Belarus to the territory of Rivne region, in order to further correct strikes on energy facilities of Ukraine, which were supposed to de-energize Kiev and the central regions of Ukraine.
Operational documentation of the attacker was carried out even during the stay of the latter in the territory of the Russian Federation.
Detained the saboteur while trying to install GPS trackers to correct air strikes by Shahed drones on the power infrastructure lines of the area.
As it turned out, the detainee is a citizen of Belarus and is part of the agent network of the main intelligence agency of Russia.
Since 2014, he participated in hostilities as part of the terrorist groups “l/dnr”. With the beginning of a full-scale invasion, the enemy conducted hostilities against Ukraine as part of the private military company “Wagner”.
Currently, a foreigner is being prepared to report on suspicion of art. 113 “Diversion” and Art. 258-3 “Creation of a terrorist group or terrorist organization” of the CCU.
But in Bukovina, border guards found a car stolen in Italy. This weekend, a Volkswagen car of Moldovan registration arrived at the international checkpoint “Rososhani”. The vehicle was driven by a Romanian citizen who was heading to enter Ukraine.
During the verification of the documents, the Interpol database was activated. Border guards found out that the vehicle was stolen in Italy in May 2022.
After completing the relevant documents, the citizen and the car, which is under international investigation, were handed over to the National Police.
In total, on January 14, 71 thousand people and 14 thousand vehicles crossed the western borders of Ukraine with the EU and Moldova (in the Chernivtsi region).
Last day, 32 thousand people left Ukraine. 21 thousand of them crossed the border with Poland, the rest followed to other EU countries and Moldova.

Six men, citizens of Ukraine, were not allowed to leave the country, as border guards found signs of forgery of their documents. In the actions of men there are signs of offenses provided for in articles 336, 358 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
