The enemy continued shelling the border of Sumy
Yesterday, August 17, from Russian territory the military inflicted fire damage with the use of mortars and barrel artillery.
Under enemy fire were Velykopisarovskaya, Krasnopolskaya, Miropilskaya, Esmansk, Shalyginskaya and Belopil communities of Sumy region.
The barrel artillery and mortars of the Russians fired on the territory of the Belopil community — 122-mm and 120-mm calibers. More than six dozen shells flew from the side of Russian settlements a new road, tines and rims. Explosions in one of the settlements of the community damaged a farm premises.
Also, the enemy from the side of the Russian settlement sporadically shelled the territory of Velikopysarivska hromada with 120 mm mortars, totaling 12 parishes.
Also, the occupiers shelled the territory of the Krasnopil community three times with 120 mm mortars and 122 mm barrel artillery, in total there were almost two dozen explosions. The fire was fired from the Russian settlements of Tall, Dowager and Countess.
The enemy struck the Esmansk community twice with barrel artillery. The fire was coming from the area of the settlement of Lokot. The Russians aimed almost two dozen shells at civilian infrastructure. Private homes of civilians and farm buildings were damaged. In the evening, more than twenty Russian shells flew. As a result of the shelling, a private neighborhood completely burned down, power lines were damaged.
The enemy shelled the Shalyginsk community from the side of the Russian village of Kozine with a rocket system of volley fire — 20 explosions.
In addition, from half a dozen 122-mm shells, Russian SAUs were fired from the side of the village of Guevo on the territory of the Miropol community.
