Volunteers raised more than 600,000 for the special unit of the National Guard “Omega”
A charity gastro-dinner and auction were held in the capital, where funds were raised for the rehabilitation of wounded Omega fighters abroad and the production of FPV drones. Special lots from servicemen, sports stars and show business were presented at the event.
“For me, the special lots that the guys brought from the front line: tubes from grenade launchers, shells from shells,” said the organizer of the gastro-dinner Oleksandr Mutel. “These lots have already been worked out for the enemy, and then the volunteer artists added uniqueness to them so that they could help us once again in the fight against the invaders.”
Among the guests of the event were also representatives of Kyiv “Dynamo”. They brought exclusive football souvenirs with them to help raise as much money as possible for the National Guardsmen.
For a set of the ball with autographs of all Dynamo players and T-shirts of the player Denis Popov, the guests gave 22,000 hryvnia. And the football player himself decided to compete for a tube from the used portable anti-tank missile complex “Javelin” with Petrykov painting.
In addition to delicious food, live music and interesting lots, guests noted the importance of such events to remind that the war is still going on and Ukrainian fighters pay a high price for a quiet life in peaceful cities.
“I want to thank everyone who joined the organization and those who responded and came to support the fighters of the special unit of NGO “Omega”. Two months of painstaking preparation were not in vain, because in the evening we managed to collect 612 thousand hryvnias,” summed up the organizer of the event, chairman of the charity foundation Oleksandr Mutel.
