After the start of the full-scale invasion, volunteering in Ukraine has reached a new level. It is difficult to find a person who would not help the military or those affected by war. For a year and a half, indifferent Ukrainians trust their funds to charitable foundations, cooperate with familiar volunteers and servicemen to defeat the Russian invaders.

Serhiy is one of hundreds of thousands of volunteers who, thanks to his small initiative, significantly helps the Ukrainian army. It “prints” spare parts on a 3D printer, the purpose of which is to improve the accuracy of defeating the enemy with VOG-17 and grenades from drones. According to the volunteer, he comes from the temporarily occupied territories, has been supporting the Ukrainian military since 2015. Nevertheless, he launched his production after the beginning of the full-scale invasion of the Russian invaders, when he was forced to leave for the capital.

“I print shanks, clips and other spare parts from filament — a special plastic for a 3D printer. Under the influence of high temperatures, the plastic melts, and then the system begins to print. At the same time, it is possible to print several details at once,” says the volunteer.

With the support of his family, Sergey does everything at his own expense — from purchasing materials and computer modeling to manufacturing components for ammunition that goes to the front to the military. “Instead of donuts, you can provide direct assistance to the military,” says the volunteer.

As Sergey notes, although the printing process itself is not as fast as we would like, it can be used around the clock if necessary.

“If each of us does not join and help the military, war could be in Kyiv again, so I think it is very important that we all unite, help and support the military as and as anyone can. Someone can print, someone can donate, practice medicine, transport and repair machines. The more each of us will do, the sooner the victory will be and the sooner the occupiers will leave our land,” the National Guard said.

On his own initiative, the volunteer handed over 200 spare parts for ammunition to the National Guards.
