Today, February 13, the President of Ukraine presented to the staff of the Ministry of Internal Affairs a new head — Igor Klymenko. Also, Prime Minister of Ukraine Denis Shmyhal congratulated the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. To pay tribute to the team of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, who tragically died in the aircraft carrier on January 18 in the city. The Brovars in attendance honored their memory and the memory of all the dead comrades with a minute of silence.
“The most important task facing the Minister of Internal Affairs is the trust of people to law enforcement agencies and respect from citizens and state leadership to the system of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. Today we can record that people trust police, guards, border guards and other units of the Ministry of Internal Affairs more. In particular, we see this through the formation of brigades, because respect for service is one of the important reasons why people go to the service”, - stressed the President of Ukraine. Introducing the staff of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the new head, Volodymyr Zelensky thanked Igor
Klymenka for the exemplary example of the leader and noted that the tasks of the ministry are not left Variable:
“Igor Klymenko is appointed Minister. You all know him well - he is a responsible leader, he is familiar with all aspects of the work of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. He knows how and what needs to be done now so that the services continue to work effectively and win our victory. And so that the “Guard of Offensive”, which is now being formed, will become a strong element of our defense and security forces,” the President of Ukraine noted. Prime Minister Denis Shmyhal congratulated the Minister of Internal Affairs on the appointment:
“Igor Klymenko is a professional general, he deeply knows, understands and manages the processes of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. I am sure that the tasks will be completed successfully and quickly. This is certainly the defense of the Motherland, the liberation of the occupied territories, the protection of our borders, the maintenance of order in the rear, which should also ensure victory. I am convinced that under his leadership the Ministry of Internal Affairs will cope with all tasks and together we will achieve the main goal — our victory.” For his part, the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs thanked for the trust and assured that the priority now is to maintain the stability and manageability of the ministry system during this extremely difficult period for our country.
However, the main goal is to return peace and tranquility to every Ukrainian home, and to bring our people home from abroad.
“We have a lot of work to do. First of all - strengthening the combat capabilities of the National Guard, the National Police and the Border Service. Already now we are forming the “Guard of the Offensive”, but we must not only recruit volunteers, but also train them qualitatively in a short time. The next is stabilization measures, ensuring law and order and restoring the activities of the bodies of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in the de-occupied territories. An important point is demining, because more than 30% of the territory of Ukraine requires careful attention of all explosive units. And every war crime of the aggressor must be qualitatively documented,” Igor Klymenko said.
Also among the priorities of the work, the Minister of Internal Affairs named the fight against collaborators, corruption - both within the system of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and in other state authorities. At the same time, he stressed the importance of continuing to improve the system of providing services to citizens both in Ukraine and abroad.
“People should feel that the state cares about them, their rights and their safety. Many challenges await us after the victory. We are already ready for this: measures are being carried out to restore and strengthen the state border, have developed a mechanism for ordering and strengthening control over the circulation of weapons, implementation of large-scale security projects. We are working for a single result — for Victory,” added Igor Klymenko.
