Volodymyr Zelenskyy: Anyone who chooses the profession of a law enforcement officer or rescuer gets the opportunity to make Ukraine stronger
With the participation of the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky and the Minister of Internal Affairs Igor Klymenko, celebrations were held in Kyiv on the occasion of the graduation of cadets of higher education institutions of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
Volodymyr Zelensky said during the speech that everyone who chooses the profession of a law enforcement officer or rescuer gets the opportunity to make Ukraine stronger in what distinguishes us most from the enemy, from the evil state, in the protection of people and the basis of a safe, normal, human life.
“It is an extraordinary responsibility to always be people's savior, always be a helper, always serve the public trust and never deviate. If you cheat - for people it will mean that our state has cheated. The state is seen in those who serve it. I thank you for the courage to choose this professional path. I wish each and every one of you strength, which would be equivalent to the strength of our whole Ukraine,” he said.
The President also called on all those present to always remember our policemen, our rescuers, all those defenders and defenders who died defending the state and people.
“I know that many of you are joining our new assault brigade with the very correct modern name of Fury. This is how we feel about the aggressor. Let all of you be accompanied by the main thing that is needed now: efficiency for Ukraine and moving only forward. Our state has already proved that we can win, we have proved that we can free our land from the occupier,” Volodymyr Zelensky stressed.
He also presented state awards, orders of Daniel Galitsky, medals “For impeccable service” and “Defender of the Fatherland” to teachers and cadets of higher education institutions of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and added that our goal is to return peaceful life to all districts, all regions that are now in occupation. The President expressed confidence that it will be possible to realize this goal together with graduates of higher education institutions of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
In turn, the Minister of Internal Affairs Igor Klymenko presented departmental awards and officer's shoulder straps to this year's best graduates of higher education institutions of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
By the way, this year the ranks of the Ministry of Internal Affairs have replenished 3020 graduates. Young people, like each of us, strive to serve Ukraine, to do everything possible for our future, and will certainly contribute to our Victory!
