The guard is constantly improving the skills of controlling the “bird” in order to accurately perform maneuvers, and most importantly - not to lose the device, to protect from unwanted collisions.
“I just love the sky,” says senior soldier Taras, the UAV operator, about why he chose this specialty. The guard calls his drone “Crane”.
“Aerial reconnaissance also makes it possible to save human lives, because it makes it possible not to send personnel to reconnaissance. Drones also help in the management of units. For example, commanders can track at the command post what is happening in the field where the platoon operates,” Taras adds.
