Firearms, counterfeit money and drugs: law enforcement stopped the activities of the criminal group
The organizer and four members of the criminal group were exposed by the capital's law enforcement officers. Dealers sold counterfeit money, firearms, and grenades among clients who were sought because of personal connections.
The business was organized by a native of another state, born in 1966. In his illegal activities, he attracted 4 more accomplices, born 1965-1994, among them there are also foreigners.
During the control over the commission of the crime, law enforcement officers made four purchases, as a result of which they documented the fact of sale of counterfeit currency and weapons. During the sale, the attackers seized more than 12 thousand dollars, which, according to the conclusions of experts, do not correspond to the banknotes of a similar denomination and pattern that are in the official circulation of the producing country. Also, accomplices bought AK-74 automatic rifles and cartridges for them.
Detained intruders during the next sale of counterfeit money in Kiev. They were detained and carried out 18 searches of the premises of the intruders and in the premises they used.
Law enforcement officers seized two shells of F-1, RGD-5 and two fired UZRGM-2, 2 pistols of PM and FORT-17, cartridges for them, AKSU-74 with cartridges, silencers for weapons, a shell, as well as cannabis bushes and devices for drugs. Everything removed is directed to expert research.
According to this fact, criminal proceedings have been initiated under Part 1, 2 of Art. 199 - manufacture, storage, acquisition, transportation, shipment, importation into Ukraine for use in the sale of goods, sale or sale of counterfeit money, state securities existing in paper form, state lottery tickets stamps, excise tax stamps or holographic protective elements and part 1 of Art. 263 - illegal handling of weapons, ammunition or explosives of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
Four detainees have already been informed of their suspicions of committing these crimes and the issue of choosing preventive measures for them is being resolved. For the committed acts, the defendants face up to ten years in prison.
