Water police of Khmelnytskyi region took part in interregional exercises for the elimination of emergencies on the Dniester
Employees of the emergency services of Khmelnytsky and Chernivtsi regions conducted joint exercises on the elimination of emergencies and the rescue of people on the Dniester River.
Rescuers, police officers and medics from the two regions took part in large-scale exercises to develop algorithms for rescuing people on the water.
“Since Khmelnytsky and Chernivtsi regions border precisely across the Dniester, we actively cooperate with colleagues from the neighboring region. Together we carry out preventive measures, detect poachers, learn. And since the Dniester is one of the largest waterways of our country, there is a lot of work, especially in the summer period,” said Oleksiy Kirilkov, head of the water police of Khmelnytskyi region.
Rescue and transportation of shippers, detection and disposal of dangerous objects, assistance to people in a sunken car are just a few of the simulated situations that the participants of the exercises worked out.
