As a result of enemy shelling, 199 infrastructure facilities were also damaged. This was announced by the head of the National Police today, October 11, during the live broadcast of the Unified News tele-marathon.

“At the moment there are 19 dead and 108 injured. Among these people are our police officers. One was killed, several policemen were wounded: both in the city of Kiev and in other areas. I can confirm that 199 objects were damaged. Of these, 46 are private houses, 30 are apartment buildings, 98 other facilities, including schools, hospitals and kindergartens,” Igor Klymenko said.

The head of the National Police added that the police officers first arrive at the scene, at the scene of the shelling, collect the evidence base, which in the future, as a rule, is transmitted to the SBU:

“To date, more than 37,000 proceedings have been registered, which are related to war crimes committed by servicemen of the Russian Federation and their accomplices. We are trying to gather a broad evidence base and preserve this evidence base for both Ukrainian and international courts.”

At the same time, Igor Klymenko stressed the importance of citizens' compliance with safety rules:

“Wherever you are: in public transport, educational institutions or catering establishments - you need to urgently respond to reports of possible missile or air strikes. Only in this case can we preserve the health and life of our people as much as possible. And yesterday's confirmation. Yesterday's strikes were directed at civilian, critical infrastructure and simply at civilians.”

Also, the head of the National Police said that police patrols have been reinforced since yesterday:

“This is done so that when the lights, the means of communication are turned off, citizens can get in touch with their family and loved ones.”
