The State Border Guard Service's own security exposed a Ukrainian who offered a bribe to border guards
In this way, a 29-year-old resident of Ivano-Frankivsk region intended to organize an illegal transfer for two men under the guise of drivers carrying out transportation.
In order to “solve” the issue of illegal travel abroad of pseudo-criminals, the man offered the border guard of the “Shegyny” department of the Lviv detachment an illegal benefit in the amount of 1000 US dollars, for which he received a categorical refusal.
During urgent investigative actions, in the framework of criminal proceedings under Art. 369 Criminal Code, the fact of granting illegal benefits to the border guard was documented by a joint interdepartmental group consisting of officers of the VVVB on the Lviv border detachment of the GVVB “West”, the Department of Internal Security of the National Police and investigators of the Investigative Department of the Main Directorate of the National Police of the Lviv Region, according to the proceedings the leadership of the Lviv specialized prosecutor's office in the field of defense of the Western region.
The attacker was detained according to Art. 208 Code of Criminal Procedure of Ukraine. Law enforcement officers informed the man of suspicion under Part 3 of Art. 369 “Offer, promise, or grant an improper benefit to an official”. The sanction of the article provides for punishment in the form of imprisonment for a term of four to eight years. Investigative actions continue.
