The evaders were taken out through unrecognized Transnistria: the investigators of the National Police exposed the criminal group
The attackers brought men of conscription age from the Odessa region to the border with Transnistria, and from there they drove along forest paths outside checkpoints, after which they took money for their “help”, and took “clients” to the capital of Moldova.
The price of such “services” was from 4.5 to 5 thousand dollars - depending on the urgency of departure. To search for “clientele”, they created several Telegram channels, where they provided instructions on the time, place and conditions of the intersection.
To document and detain the criminal group, a joint investigation team was created, which included investigators of the National Police, representatives of the prosecutor's office, the SBU, the Information and Security Service of Moldova.
As a result of joint work on the territory of Moldova, two members of the criminal group were detained, one of them — during the transportation of four Ukrainians. Both defendants are citizens of the Republic of Moldova.
They were declared on suspicion of organizing illegal migration as part of a criminal organization (Part 3 of Art. 362-1 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Moldova), the sanction of which provides for up to seven years in prison.
Comprehensive measures are underway to bring to justice all members of the organized criminal group involved in the creation of a scheme for the illegal transportation of men of conscription age across the state border of Ukraine.
