Extraction of a pregnant woman and her husband from the rubble: the story of saving a family from Zaporozhye (VIDEO)
On March 2, 2023, the Russians attacked Zaporizhia. Then two enemy missiles hit the 5-storey building. In one of the apartments lived spouses - Anna and Yuri. The woman was pregnant. As a result of the shelling, one entrance of the house was completely destroyed. Then 13 people died. And the couple found themselves under the rubble of a destroyed apartment.
A married couple from under the rubble called for help. The first to hear them was the rescuer Anton Zabolotny. She says Anna screamed that she was pregnant.
“I didn't know what the term was. If on the extreme, then this is completely bad. It was the 4th floor. I barely got there, at the same time I still looked at these structures. There, the wall was moving away little by little. There was almost no time,” recalls the rescuer.
The first woman was pulled out just through a hole in the wall. She was immediately handed over to the doctors. Anna damaged her back. Her husband was pulled out in half an hour. Yuri suffered a limb injury. And in a day and a half, the rescuers even got the couple's dog alive from under the rubble.
For two months, the couple has been raising their son Daniel. Rescuer Anton Zabolotnyy keeps in touch with his family and often visits.
