A stolen car, a fugitive wanted by Interpol and evaders: the situation at the border in a day
Border guards continue to detect evaders, stolen belongings and even foreigners who are internationally wanted.
Thus, last day, an attempt to illegally import a car under the guise of humanitarian assistance was prevented at the Rava-Ruska checkpoint on the initiative of the operational staff of the Lviv detachment.
Volkswagen passenger car went to Ukraine under the control of a 46-year-old compatriot. To pass the inspection, a native of the Kiev region chose the “red corridor” lane and declared the car in the established order.
According to the documents provided for inspection, it was established that the passenger car was being moved as humanitarian aid for one of the military units.
During an additional check, border guards together with customs officers established that the recipient does not expect such “humanitarian assistance”.
On this fact, a protocol was drawn up on violation of customs rules. The car is removed in the prescribed manner. Its estimated cost is 320 thousand hryvnias.
Otherwise, during the inspection, border guards discovered an SUV that was wanted. A 28-year-old Polish citizen drove to enter Ukraine by car.
During the border control, the database was activated. As the border guards found out, a Polish-registered vehicle was stolen in Belgium in February 2016.
But the border guards of the Podolsk detachment exposed two accomplices and one organizer of the transfer of persons across the state border. In addition, 10 offenders were detained who tried to enter Moldova illegally.

Also on the outskirts of the village. Samilivka, in Odessa region, law enforcement officers stopped 5 citizens of Ukraine who were moving in the direction of the state border.
During the conversation, it turned out that residents of Dnipropetrovsk and Odessa regions also tried to illegally enter Moldova. Using the Internet, they contacted the organizer, who provided directions and directions to move to the border crossing point. For this, they paid 2500 US dollars for each.
Instead, the border guards of the Belgorod-Dnestrovsky detachment exposed a 43-year-old Moldovan citizen who was under international investigation. The foreigner was detained by a border guard during an attempt to illegally cross the state border near the village of Yevhenivka, in the Odessa region.
Subsequently, during the readmission procedure, the Interpol database worked on the husband's documents. It turned out that he was wanted by German law enforcement agencies for theft, property damage and hooliganism.
The offender has now been handed over to the National Police for further extradition and prosecution.
It should be noted that on August 30, 99 thousand people and 21 thousand vehicles crossed the western borders of Ukraine with the EU and Moldova.
Last day 49 thousand people left Ukraine. 29 thousand of them crossed the border with Poland, the rest followed to other EU countries and Moldova.
Over the past day, 50 thousand people followed Ukraine, 46 thousand of them are citizens of Ukraine.
