Stolen car and evaders: the situation at the border in a day
At the checkpoint “Tisa” border guards found a Skoda passenger car wanted by Interpol as stolen. A 33-year-old Hungarian citizen was going by vehicle to enter Ukraine.
During the inspection of the car, the Interpol database worked. On this fact, law enforcement officers informed representatives of the Ukrbureau of Interpol and the Uzhgorod regional department of the National Police. At the request of border guards, the work apparatus of the Ukrbureau of Interpol confirmed that the vehicle of the brand “Skoda” of 2016 is registered as stolen in the Czech Republic two weeks ago.
The car and the documents for it were handed over to the National Police. In the actions of drivers, they see signs of an offense provided for by Article 289 of the Criminal Code “Illegal possession of a vehicle”.
But the outfit of the Podolsk border patrol with the help of a drone detected evaders — they were caught up and detained.
As it turned out, men are not the first time they fall into the hands of the guards of the state border. Thus, the 24-year-old resident of the Zaporizhzhya region was stopped by border guards for the second time, and the 44-year-old Kharkiv resident tried to illegally cross the border of Ukraine outside the checkpoints for the fourth time in a month.
Men for 3.5 thousand US dollars for each traveler, used an Internet service to navigate an unhindered route to a neighboring country.
Regarding fugitives, as in previous times, protocols on administrative offenses under Part 2 of Art. 204-1 KUPAP “Illegal crossing or attempted illegal crossing of the state border of Ukraine”. Cases are sent to court.
Another violator was found by the outfit of the Uzhgorod department, the movement of which was recorded by a photo trap. The service dog of the border guards helped to track and stop the fugitives.
Detainees turned out to be residents of Ivano-Frankivsk, Dnipropetrovsk region and Kharkiv region.
Another offender was found by the border outfit on the outskirts of the settlement of Dubrynichi, Uzhgorod district. A man from Kropyvnytskyi could not explain to law enforcement officers the purpose of his stay near the Ukrainian-Slovak border, and later admitted his true intentions.
The last of the five, a 31-year-old resident of Donetsk region, decided to outwit the border guards at the Malyi Berezny checkpoint. He provided for control a package of documents on unsuitability for military service and exclusion from military registration. However, during their inspection it was found that such documents were not issued to the man.
All detainees are held accountable under Art. 204-1 KUPAP “Illegal crossing or attempted illegal crossing of the state border of Ukraine”. In addition, in the actions of a man who used forged documents, there are signs of a criminal offense provided for in Art. 358 KKU. The message was sent to the National Police.
In total, on February 6, 53 thousand people and 16 thousand vehicles crossed the western borders of Ukraine with the EU and Moldova (in the Chernivtsi region).
27 thousand people left Ukraine last day. 17 thousand of them crossed the border with Poland, the rest followed to other EU countries and Moldova. Over the past day, 26 thousand people followed Ukraine, 22 thousand of them are citizens of Ukraine.
83 trucks with humanitarian aid were issued.
