He used soldiers to build his home: a CCP official was exposed in Transcarpathia
In the summer of 2023, the operatives of the Directorate of Strategic Investigations in the Transcarpathian region, together with the investigators of the territorial department of the SBI, exposed the defendant in the organization of a “scheme” of using the military to build his own private house.
The police found that for a long time, some RTCC servicemen daily, using official transport, went to the construction site. The land plot on which the work was carried out was registered by the defendant to a close relative.
In August 2023, law enforcement officers conducted searches at the place of residence, work, as well as the location of the new building. Then, during the investigative actions, official documentation, precious metals, money and prohibited symbols were seized: St. George's ribbons, the flag of the Russian Federation, clothing with the symbols of the aggressor country and personal documents issued on the territory of the Russian Federation.
The official of the military registration and enlistment office was informed of suspicion under Part 5 of Art. 426-1 (Excess of authority or official authority by a military official) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
The indictment is currently pending before the court. The defendant faces punishment in the form of imprisonment for up to twelve years.
