Military service was his vocation
Ivan Kurach is a staff sergeant of the National Guard of Ukraine. At the beginning of a large-scale war, he returned to the service to defend Ukraine together with his brothers. Ivan died while performing a military mission. By decree of the President of Ukraine Ivan Kurach was awarded the Order “For Courage” of the III degree (posthumously).
Guardsman served in various units of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine for more than seven years. For Ivan, military service was the vocation of life.
“My Ivan has both a father and a brother who are soldiers. He himself always burned in military service. Despite the fact that my husband and I had a small family affair, he always wanted to return to the National Guard, constantly kept in touch with his brothers. I remember how, at the beginning of the war, we were driving through the city, and Ivan saw his former brothers in full gear, and his eyes lit up. The next day, the man said he was going to war. I supported his decision. In a few days Ivan died,” recalls the wife of the guard Victoria.
On March 14, 2022, as a result of a rocket attack, the life of a staff sergeant was interrupted. The soldier, together with his comrades in combat, performed a service and combat mission.
“Ivan has always been a responsible and honest soldier. We were good friends, the guard adored his service and loved his family. It is a pity that the war takes away the best,” Fedir tells the brothers of the deceased hero.
