Russian troops carried out an airstrike on Orikhiv secondary school: there are dead and wounded civilians
Yesterday, July 9, the army of the aggressor country with a direct hit destroyed a city secondary educational institution, in which at that time civilians were receiving humanitarian assistance. An air bomb nearly destroyed the building. As a result of the explosion, four citizens were killed and eleven more were injured.
The targeted airstrike was carried out by the Russians at a time when the Orikhovans came to the school to receive humanitarian aid - food and basic necessities. Under the rubble of the destroyed institution were more than one and a half dozen people who were inside and nearby from the outside. Residential buildings and other civilian infrastructure located near the epicenter of the explosion were also damaged.
Police, rescuers, civilian and military medics and caring citizens worked at the scene. A joint effort was to deblock the bodies of four of the dead - three women, born in 1976, 1978 and 1980, as well as a man, born in 1976. Eleven rescued citizens with injuries of varying severity after first aid were hospitalized.
Rescue work is currently underway. Sappers establish the type of ammunition used for the civilian population. Police continue to collect evidence of a cynical war crime. The event is registered with the ERDR by legal qualification - Art. 438 (Violation of the laws and customs of war) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
