“The war taught me to use all my knowledge to the maximum,” - border guard Alexander
Military, medicine, IT technologies are the three sciences that border guard Alexander actively uses for Victory in today's conditions.
Alexander was a doctor in the past, later decided to change his specialty to information technologies, which he had long been interested in. Until February 24 last year, he successfully worked in Kyiv as an IT specialist, conducted his own trainings and constantly developed, improving in his favorite business.
With the beginning of the full-scale invasion of the Russians, Alexander took his wife to Transcarpathia in order to be sure of her safety, and the next day he went to the military registration office. According to the distribution, he was appointed as a sanitary inspector of one of the units of the Chopsky border detachment of the State Border Guard Service.
As part of the consolidated unit, the border guard went to perform service and combat tasks first to the north, and then to the east of our country. The hottest point where he had to perform military duty was Bakhmut.
Alexander says that in such extreme conditions, he easily remembered the profession of a doctor, which at that time he had not been engaged in for 12 years. In addition to providing medical care, in his spare minute he searched for the necessary equipment, tools, medicines, first aid kits. Here he was often helped by connections and a wide circle of acquaintances of the IT-schnik.
In addition, Alexander helped to establish the Internet, communications in the department, systematized the accounting of documentation. He recalled that the war made him concentrate, remember everything he had learned in the past and make the most of the knowledge gained:
“My brothers and I tried to invest every bit of our knowledge, skills and skills in the common cause — all for the sake of Victory. First, we will destroy the enemy to the last occupier, to the last unit of technology, and then we will build our state. Our children must grow up under the peaceful sky of a prosperous and independent Ukraine.”
