They made psychotropics and earned about 2 million hryvnias: three men will be tried in Sumy region
Cyber police of the Sumy region exposed three attackers who were engaged in the manufacture and sale of wholesale batches of psychotropics.
The “business” was organized by a 27-year-old resident of the city of Sumy. He attracted his father and an acquaintance to the “work”. In one of the private houses in the suburbs, the intruders equipped a laboratory where they manufactured the psychotropic substance amphetamine and the precursor phenylnitropropene.
Cyber police discovered a Telegram bot in which offenders accepted “orders” for wholesale batches of psychotropics. We sold products with the help of the services of one of the postal services and by the method of “bookmarks” throughout the territory of Ukraine.
Monthly earnings of men amounted to about 200 thousand hryvnias. Its members of the group were distributed equally.
Back in April, cyber police officers conducted 5 searches with the places of residence and vehicles of the defendants. Psychotropic substances and precursors with a total weight of more than 5 kilograms were removed, the cost of which at “black market” prices reaches 300 thousand hryvnias. In addition, equipment for the manufacture and packaging of psychotropics, computer equipment, mobile phones, SIM cards, bank cards, cash, cartridges, receipts and a car were seized.
Three members of the criminal group were detained in accordance with Article 208 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine and placed in a detention center. The defendants were informed of the suspicion and selected precautionary measures in the form of detention with the possibility of posting bail.
At the moment, the indictment against the members of the organized crime group is referred to the court.
The actions of the accused are qualified, depending on the participation in criminal activity, according to several articles of the Criminal Code:
- Art. 28 (Committing a criminal offense by a group of persons, a group of persons by prior conspiracy, organized group or criminal organization);
- Part 1 tbsp. 306 (Use of funds obtained from the illicit trafficking of narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances, their analogues, precursors, poisonous or potent substances or poisonous or potent drugs);
- Part 3 of Art. 307 (Illegal production, manufacture, acquisition, storage, transportation, shipment or marketing of narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances or their analogues);
- Part 3 of Art. 311 (Illegal production, manufacture, acquisition, storage, transportation or shipment of precursors);
- part 2 tbsp. 317 (Organization or maintenance of premises for the illicit use, manufacture or manufacture of narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances or their analogues).
Defendants may face up to 12 years in prison with deprivation of the right to hold certain positions or engage in certain activities and with confiscation of property.
