Tomorrow's heat in Ukraine: the State Emergency Service warns of the danger of fires in ecosystems
As a result, a fire hazard period is established in most areas. In particular, the Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Center reports: August 4-6 in Ternopil, Khmelnytsky, Zhytomyr, Donetsk, August 5-6 and in Ivano-Frankivsk, Vinnytsia, August 6 and in Sumy, Kirovohrad, Kharkiv regions will prevail an extreme level of fire dangers.
We remind you: under such conditions, visiting forest areas is prohibited! Follow the rules of fire safety! Do not provoke a fire in open areas with your actions!
Unfortunately, some citizens still practice burning dry grass, which often leads to large-scale fires. The consequences of these actions are terrible:
Fire destroys all living things. Flora, wild and domestic animals, insects and birds that nest low perish. Someone burns alive, and someone suffocates from the smoke. Animals do not have time to escape from the fire.
Due to the burning of the grass, the beneficial microflora involved in important biological processes dies, as well as the structure of the soil changes. As a result, it ceases to be fertile and will recover only in 5-6 years.
During dry combustion, hazardous substances are released into the air: benzopyrene, dioxins, heavy metals. This can cause headache, cough, eye irritation, inflammation of the nasal mucosa and larynx, and later even lead to cancer.
Under certain weather conditions, a small fire can quickly turn into a large fire, spill over onto homes, and cause the death of livestock and even people.
Please do not burn the grass!
Take care of yourself, your loved ones and the environment — choose alternative methods of dry disposal.
