From now on, you can exchange your Ukrainian driver's license in Wroclaw
In Poland, there are even more separate divisions of the State Enterprise “Dokument”, where you can get the service of exchanging a national driver's license issued in Ukraine. From now on it can be done in Wroclaw.
Thanks to the cooperation of the Main Service Center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the State Migration Service of Ukraine, it is already possible to exchange a driver's license at four locations in friendly Poland: in Warsaw, Gdansk, Krakow and from now on in Wroclaw.
Mobile and technical complexes of SE “Document” operate at the address: Wroclaw, 51-117, Paprotna 7 (shopping center “Marino Shopping Center”).
The ID exchange service is provided:
- in the event of a change in the driver's personal data (when the person has changed the surname, first name, patronymic or gender);
- when the validity period has expired (relevant mainly for driver's licenses issued for the first time, since their validity period is 2 years);
- in case of damage to the driver's license (damaged, the records are not readable).
It is possible to register for the exchange online — through the electronic queue on the website and in the order of the “live” queue.
To receive the service, you need the following package of documents:
- passport of a citizen of Ukraine (in case of providing an ID card without the information on registration of the place of residence available in a contactless electronic medium, a certificate of registration of the person's place of residence is provided together);
- certificate (original or copy) on the assignment of the registration number of the taxpayer's registration card;
- driver's license to be exchanged.
A medical certificate is not mandatory for the duration of the martial law in Ukraine to receive the service. The column on the driver's blood type, which is usually filled in on the basis of this certificate of fitness to drive, is now left incomplete. This does not affect the validity of the document.

- Tue-Fri: 10:00 − 17:00,
- Sat: 10:00 − 15:30,
- Sun, Mon — weekends.
It is important that the driver's license exchange service is provided only in person, only if there is a driver's license, which must be transferred to the administrator of the center of the DP “Document”. The algorithm for obtaining the service includes the following actions: the administrator receives three documents, fills out a certain form with the person, photographs the person and sends it to the service center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs through a secure communication channel. Then the administrator of the service center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in Ukraine considers the application and confirms it or not. In case of obtaining consent — successful processing of the application — the employee of the State Enterprise “Dokument” prints the driver's license on a special form.
In general, a ready-made driver's license can be collected on the day of application, unless circumstances of force majeure have arisen in Ukraine, when processing is not possible. If the existing certificate was issued before 2013, an additional request-confirmation of the validity of the certificate is made at the place of issue. The time for providing the service is increased by the time of receipt of a response to such a request.

As of December 11, 1,829 driver's licenses have already been exchanged in Poland for the entire period.
