From now on, Ukrainians in Poland can renew their driver's license
At once in four cities of Poland, Ukrainians can renew their driver's license in the departments of State Enterprise “Dokument”. This country became the second country after Turkey to launch a new service for our fellow citizens who were forced to go abroad.
Previously, in Poland, Ukrainian drivers only exchanged an existing driver's license. And now in Warsaw, Wroclaw, Gdańsk and Krakow they can recover in connection with loss or abduction. This service was launched thanks to the fruitful cooperation of the Main Service Center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs with SE “Dokument”, which is part of the management of the State Migration Service of Ukraine. As a result, coordinated decisions were signed between the service centers of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the centers of the State Enterprise “Dokument” in Poland.
How to get the service
To renew a driver's license, you must contact the Dokument State Enterprise in one of the four cities in Poland where this service is provided. You can register online — through the electronic queue on the website, or contact in the order of the “live” queue. You need to have the following list of documents with you:
- a passport of a citizen of Ukraine with the place of residence indicated in it, and if the passport is in the format of an ID-card without the available information on registration of the place of residence, then an extract on the registration of the person's place of residence, or a foreign passport, is provided together;
- taxpayer's certificate; a
document confirming the change of personal data (e.g. marriage registration certificate, etc.) in the event of a change - personal data;
- medical certificate (for the period of martial law is not required).
Algorithm for the provision of services
Recovery of driver's licenses is carried out according to the standard algorithm. After receiving the package of documents, employees of SE “Dokument” photograph the citizen and create an application for the restoration of the driver's license, which is considered in Ukraine by the administrator of the service center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. In case of approval, the new certificate is printed abroad on the form and handed over to the customer.

We remind you that it is also possible to renew a driver's license in Istanbul. And the exchange of certificates is carried out in all 11 divisions of the State Enterprise “Document” abroad.
