Actions to eliminate chemical, biological and radiation threats worked out: international training of rescuers completed in Poland
In the Polish city of Ostrow-Mazowiecka, training of rescuers in responding to chemical, biological and radiation threats has been completed. Emergency personnel from six countries took part in the exercises: Ukraine, Poland, Lithuania, Estonia, Moldova, Romania. A total of 370 rescuers and 113 units of equipment.
The teams carried out actions to eliminate the leakage of hazardous substances: carried out sanitary treatment of personnel, carried out evacuation of the population, air reconnaissance, monitoring the state of air pollution. They did it for 36 hours.
The Head of the State Fire Protection of the Republic of Poland Andrzej Bartkowiak visited the closing ceremony of the exercises. He thanked all participants for the coordinated work and handed the teams certificates of successful training.
State Emergency Service of Ukraine
