You can renew your driver's license from now on in the SE “Document” in the Czech Republic
Service centers of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine have expanded the list of European countries in which Ukrainians have the opportunity to restore lost driver's licenses.
From now on, this service has become available in SE “Document” and in the Czech Republic. Before that, Ukrainian drivers only exchanged driver's licenses there. And now they can recover in connection with loss or theft. This service was launched thanks to the fruitful cooperation of the Main Service Center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs with SE “Dokument”, which is part of the management of the State Migration Service of Ukraine.
How to get services?
In order to renew a driver's license in the Czech Republic, you must contact the “Document” unit of the State Enterprise. Address: Prague, Republic Square 656/8 (Kotva Shopping Center)
The service for restoring a driver's license is provided in the order of a “live” queue. Online recording is also available - through an electronic queue on the website of the State Enterprise “Document”.
Citizens need to take a package of documents with them:
- a passport of a citizen of Ukraine with the place of residence indicated in it, and if the passport is in the format of an ID-card without the available information on registration of the place of residence, then an extract on the registration of the person's place of residence, or a foreign passport, is provided together;
- identification number;
- a document confirming the change of personal data (for example, marriage registration certificate, etc.) in case of change of personal data;
- medical certificate (for the period of martial law is not required).
After the administrator receives the necessary documents, the citizen is photographed. Next, an application for the restoration of a driver's license is created, which is considered in Ukraine by the administrator of the service center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. In case of approval, the customer receives a new document printed on the form.
In addition to the Czech Republic, Ukrainian drivers have the opportunity to renew and exchange their driver's licenses in Poland, Germany, Spain and Turkey. Currently, only the exchange of these documents is available in Slovakia.
