A meeting of the Coordination Headquarters Council chaired by Ihor Klymenko, the Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, was held
The Council considered a number of urgent issues of the operation of the Coordination Centre. In particular, they discussed the work of regional offices, the organisation of the Public Council, and the documentation of war crimes committed by the military of the russian federation.
However, the main issue on the agenda was the continuation of work on the release of Ukrainian defenders from captivity of the aggressor state, as well as the return of civilians from illegal detention.
Kyrylo Budanov, the Head of the Coordination Centre, said:
“The main tasks of the headquarters are to organise the liberation of people from the russian captivity, help their families, and counteract the aggressor's information influence on the Ukrainian society. The priority for the Coordination Centre and the Main Intelligence Directorate has always been, remains and will remain the return of all our people from captivity”.
Attention was also drawn to the continuing development and improvement of online tools by the Coordination Centre's specialists, in particular, the Personal Account, an information system to streamline and facilitate work with applicants.
The meeting was also attended by Rustem Umerov, the Minister of Defence of Ukraine, Oleh Ivashchenko, the Head of the Foreign Intelligence Service, Vasyl Maliuk, the Head of the Security Service of Ukraine, Dmytro Lubinets, the Ukrainian Parliament Commissioner for Human Rights, and representatives of agencies and institutions involved in the work of the Coordination Headquarters for the Treatment of Prisoners of War.
