Since the beginning of the year, Zaporizhzhya law enforcement officers have stopped more than 2000 offenses
Every day, the fighters of the National Guard of Ukraine perform tasks at checkpoints, namely: compliance with the requirements of the legal regime of martial law, round-the-clock operational control over the illegal transportation of weapons, explosives, drugs and other prohibited items, detection of DRG, verification of persons for possible cooperation with the Russian occupiers.
At checkpoints in Zaporizhzhia and the region, joint uniforms of the police, the National Guard, the border service and the terrorist drones carry the service. Every day they check about 2500 citizens and almost 1800 vehicles to ensure that they are safe in the region and throughout the rest of Ukraine.
Thanks to professional control at posts, namely blocking the traffic of weapons and drugs and detaining criminals who are wanted, many tragedies can be prevented.
Thus, according to the National Police, as of the beginning of 2023, 135 criminal and more than 1900 administrative offenses were detected at checkpoints in the region. During this time, law enforcement officers detected weapons and explosive objects in citizens 8 times. In total, almost 700 pieces of ammunition, 3 grenades and 5 firearms were seized.
Service dogs help fighters to identify hiding places with prohibited things. In three months of the current year, more than 100 facts of transportation of narcotic drugs have been established.
Also, as a result of the inspections, 10 people wanted for criminal offenses, 104 people involved in the armed formations of the Russian Federation or collaborative activities were detained. More than 20 foreigners who violated the rules of stay on the territory of Ukraine were exposed.
Law enforcement officers and drivers who drove vehicles in a state of alcohol or drug intoxication were actively documented. For three months of work, 203 such violators were exposed. 115 wanted vehicles were also found.
In turn, law enforcement officers urge citizens to be conscious and follow the rules of conduct during the inspection.
Remember that when approaching the checkpoint, it is necessary to reduce the speed in advance and prepare documents for inspection in advance. Do not leave the car before the instructions of law enforcement officers. It is strictly forbidden to conduct any photo and video shooting at checkpoints.
