From 20 days to six months - in the EU countries, about 14 days - in Ukraine: how much do candidates expect to be a driver for passing a practical exam
Due to the fact that cars in the countries of the European Union are cheaper compared to Ukraine, there are many who want to get a driver's license there. Therefore, in order to become a pilot abroad, it is necessary to undergo training in specialized institutions and successfully pass theoretical and practical exams in examination centers.
In some European countries, this process takes a rather long period. For example, the waiting time from the moment of registration for a practical exam to the date of its passing lasts from several weeks to six months.
The longest driver candidates wait to take the exam in Ireland: up to six months. Approximately the same period in the UK: from 1 to 6 months. In Italy, this period is 140 days.
Specialists of the service centers of the Ministry of Internal Affairs analyzed how much citizens expect to pass a practical exam in the countries neighboring and closest to Ukraine.
So, in Poland, this period is 20 days. It is even longer for future drivers to expect in Romania - 27 days, and in Germany - 3-5 weeks. In the Baltic countries, this period is about a few weeks. In Lithuania - 22 days, and in Estonia almost three times more - 60 days.
In general, the figures given are the average waiting period for the practical exam in European countries. In some states, it depends on the choice of a particular examination center or period of the year.
In Ukraine, the waiting period for practical exams from the moment of registration to the date of passing is on average about 14 days. Thanks to digitalization, an increase in the number of vehicles and the creation of examination hubs, the service centers of the Ministry of Internal Affairs plan to reduce this waiting period as much as possible.
